Well, when it comes to showcasing your style, your choice of accessories says a lot. Whether you are an ethnic junkie or a girl with an appetite for western fashion or a fine mix of both, you cannot let your jewelry statement run down. Hence choosing the perfect destination for matching your jewelry tastes contributes to a great part for highlighting the fashionista hidden in you. A few days back I chanced to come across this classy brand “Precious You” which is an online boutique platform for fulfilling all your jewelry cravings to the core.

Few Precious Words About “Precious You”

{Image Credits: Precious You}

Before I begin to narrate my shopping experience with this chic brand, let’s first get introduced to the concept behind the gallery of masterpieces. “Precious You” has been designed keeping in mind the modern Diva who is a fusion of traditional values and contemporary thoughts. Hence their entire collection resonate with these vibes. The brand indeed has a lovely tagline “Inspired By You” that definitely brings the Modern Woman Into Limelight.

My Shopping Experience At “Precious You”

While I was drawn into this marvelous collection by their Instagram Feed, my wishlist began to get longer as soon as I dropped into their website. “Precious You has a stunning and unceasing royal variety that would satiate all of your jewelry cravings.

From Afgani to Meenakari, Boho to Kundan every assortment can be located here. Moreover the kinds of jewelries not only include necklaces and earrings but also bracelets, rings and even watches.

While I could not bear my excitement to shop at least one piece from here, I zeroed down my list to
“The Tristin” Hoop earrings. With semi precious stones, these golden hoops were ordered promptly.

One thing I must recommend is that the super easy interface of “Precious You” website and the hassle-free check out process is indeed every shopper is in search for in every website but hardly is able to find in one. Moreover with zoom in features enables, one can probe into the meticulous architectures of the jewelry piece before investing on it.

My order was delivered in less than 3 days and this once again makes the brand earn brownie points for its super speedy shipping process.

Post Shopping Experience

The quality of the jewelry is extremely credible and worth recommending. In fact it wouldn’t be an exaggeration if I say it’s exactly the same as it looks in the website picture.

Moreover the metal used is solid and durable with the stones and gems fixings held really strong. While it slipped off my hands a number of times till date, yet none of the stones have been damaged or lost its shine. This definitely proves how meticulous “Precious You” is, in designing their jewelry.

Anything To Be Improved Upon

While everything is perfect in “Precious You”, one thing they should work upon is the price bracket. The ranges usually start from 800 which is definitely not quite an affordable one for one and all. However considering the unconventionality and originality of designs their jewelry speak for, the price is all the worth.

My final word would definitely be, if you are a jewelry addict just like me, then definitely welcoming this brand into your wardrobe should be on your checklist.

A Splush of Ethnic Vibes:My Lookbook During This Durga Puja

Hi friends! It’s indeed been a long time I had written my blog and I know you all might have been missing my reviews for long. Our festive season is finally over and we are again gearing up for the Diwali celebrations. While I have been missing from the blogging scenario for long, it’s time for me to give you a quick recap of how I celebrated my Durga Puja. For those of you who are not quite aware of what Durga Puja means to us, well it is the biggest festival for all belonging to the Bengali culture.

As I celebrated this grand festival, here’s a quick look of my closet. I preferred to keep it ethnic throughout keeping in mind the festive spirits.

Durga Puja usually remains to be an occasion of 5 days and as Dusshera nears the grandeur in your looks multiplies.

The first day I decided to keep it simple with a white asymmetric kurti and a yellow half shrug. I teamed it up with a pair of small oxidised zigzag rings.

I also had a small brass based Ganesha pendant to jazz up the final touch.

The second day of festivity was marked by a Prussian blue A Line kurti. I have always tried to keep it simple and a small bindi has helped me a lot keeping at par with the theme.

Jaipuri Jhumkis and the brass pendant were my jewelry companions.

The third day popularly known as Ashtami we Bong’s try to give our traditional best and hence I decided to go for a saree.

Navami always has a tune of disappointment in it as it marks the second last day of celebrations. Maa Durga is soon going to return to her home. But that cannot diminish the fashion celebrations.

Went ahead with a black spaghetti dress teemed up with a white beadee necklace.

Dashami or Dusshera marks the climax of Durga Puja festivities. The famous “Sindoorkhela”( playing with Sindoor is organised to pay adieu to Maa Durga with celebrations yet with a heavy heart. My fashion book for the day happened to be a red saree teemed with a gold coined necklace and a small red bindi.

So this was my celebration of Ethnicity this Durga Puja.

P.S. kindly excuse the selfies modes of pictures😺

The First grand bite of the event unraveled itself with the amazing collections from the creative home of Suprachi were indeed a treat to the eyes. With dramatic hues, refined and sophisticated pastels over silhouettes and the predominance of silk as well as cotton threads, the pieces were stunning and ravishingly gorgeous. The glitz and glamour was further punched in with Pooja Peshoia’s novel collection. The muse to this awe-inspiring collection that blends in itself the streams of both traditional and contemporary thought, was the natural reflections which illuminate the ocean’s surface. The collection was synonymous to perfection. With a lavish showcase of beautiful gorgeous lehengas, sarees as well as crop tops clubbed with elegant, graceful skirts and jackets, the collection displayed the identity of the  modern women of the present times. The ensembles were made of sheer organza, tulle, silks and satins.

irw11

The best part of IRW 17 is that every design shared a unique touch to it through the stream of thought which backs it and Clotho was not a deviation. The best part was that Clotho desired to portray the collection as an extension of the feminine identity, not as a trend but as an intrinsic characteristic of herself. Thus it amalgamates its designs with the lotus in its multiple forms, that forms a predominant part in Tribana Padma’s collection, dealing with the ‘chakras’ and the several forms of feminine mysticism.

Egyptian themes and pastels also ruled the ramp through the collection hands of Delhi based Designer- Ankur jAmun-Ra (hidden light) as the name is popularly known as was the vibrant mix of 5D Egyptian beetles as well as Egyptian Gods. Oomph and chutzspah are the features that this designer collection bestows with. With the collection, he raised the message of “Help Egypt Help an Heritage”.

White, yellows and golden shimmers dominated the ramp with the elegant collection ‘Nazakat’ ,RIDHANSH by Sonia Gaba.

The Priyamvada Couture was inspired to showcase the woen of today, the contemporary, independent women who are bold and speak their indepent words of fashion. The collection was exclusively curated keeping in mind the women of today who are confident and define their fashion statements by their own. With The Indian Ethnicity as the predominant theme, there were gorgeous combinations of divine embroideries, stylish, flowery cuts with elegance being the finest finish.”Being a part of a lady on her special day is what motivates me and through my outfit I want her to feel like a queen” says Priyamvada Goel. Actress Mugdha Godse, the stunning Diva walked the ramp for her.

Coming to the most exotic part of the show was definitely Akassh Aggarwal’s Subhasini Ornamentals. Akassh Aggarwal has always been known as a familiar face when in comes to jewellery with a thematic punch. All his designs unmask the several shades of the contemporary woman along with a touch of tradition. Last Season of Subbhashini Ornamentals had the Diva touch with the evergreen style icon Zeenat Aman as the showstopper.

irw3irw4irw9

This year too Akkash Aggarwal’s show was not an exception from its thematic excellence. “Tribe Vibes Collectives”, Bohemian Self Love was the thematic innovation. The World has always identified woman as “The Second Sex” reminiscent of Simone De Beauvoir or the weaker gender. In this male dominated and women undermined opinion, Akassh K. Aggarwal’s collection pays a tribute to all those women who live their lives on their own terms, unopinionated, independent and rebellious. Pearls,  corals on embossed and 3D Metallic Gold and Silver were the show-stealers. The Show with all its well-suited demanding music and the gorgeous Swara BHaskar walking down the ramp made it an episode to remember.

Ritambhara Image 3Ritambhara Image 5

Ritambhara Paliya’s collections were contributions that reinforced the Indian ethnic flavors with gorgeous, vibrant colors. Maxi dresses, along with lehengas, anarkalis with rich fabrics and the most elegant, stylish designs that spoke of queenly flavors were a perfect epilogue to the final day of IRW 2017. Bollywood diva Shamita Shetty walked the ramp flaunting the divine, rich collections from Ritambhara Paliya.

The finest and grandest end that the India Runway Week 2017 could witness was definitely through Kristy De Cunha. The Gol Gol Rani Freddie Mercury lived up to its name catering to both men and womens’ tastes, for both the geeky, intelligent and the fashion changers.

India Runway Week 2017 was undoubtedly a fashion treat to All fashionistas and we are in eager anticipation for the next season to strike in.
