For those of you who follow me strongly on social media might be aware of my previous vacation in Thailand. Visiting Thailand has always been very close to my heart for a number of reasons and of them definitely lies to be its cuisine. The delicious Thai assortments are delicacies every foodie would hold close to heart. Especially after a visit to the Pattaya night market where you get to see a huge spread of Thai delicacies at the most pocket-friendly prices, I bet your heart would definitely crave for the place after you leave it behind.

And when my hunger pangs still couldn’t get over from the hangover of Thai food, “The Taste of Thai” festival at Blooms, Eros Hotel, came to a perfect rescue. While Delhi boasts of multiple Thai cuisine outlets, however discovering the true authentic flavours especially in a set up that reminds of complete Thai culture, is rare to find. And herein, stands out the exclusivity of Eros Hotel, Nehru Place.

The “Taste of Thai festival” that opened its door to the guests on the 13’th of April with an elaborate ceremony that was graced by the presence of esteemed Ambassador of Thailand would run at Blooms Restaurant till 28th April.

The opening day also saw the breathtaking performances by Thai personnel who performed to the intricacies of Indian “Katthak” and live musical performances by singers from Thailand.

The menu has been curated by Chef Nikhil Rastogi wherein he has taken meticulous care of each and every aspect of the Thai cuisine.

The best part is that you have live counters preparing your desired Thai delicacy and serving them with perfection at your table.

The impeccable tastes along with the variety of Thai specialities at the festival is what makes the festival so exclusive and a must visit.

Moreover to offer its guests every authentic flavours of Thailand, there are enthralling set ups created to offer a perfect experience of the Thai culture. The decor, the cuisine along with the music everything combines to take you to the land of Thailand.

The Salad Bar is a must visit to experience the hands on feel of Thai salad prepared by a Thai master chef with unadulterated tastes and flawless perfection. All kinds of appetizing salads with uninterrupted Thai flavors are there for you to try on:

Somtam (Raw Papaya Salad)

Thai papaya salad with roasted peanuts, carrots and long leans in a chilli – lemon dressing

The curry counter has all sorts of vibrant flavors to offer you.

Kaeng ga rhue phak(Mixed vegetables in yellow curry coconut powder , palm sugar, kafir lime, salt)

Kaeng khiew waan kai(chicken in red curry coconut powder , palm sugar, kafir lime, salt)

Goong samun prai( Sweet & sour tamarind prawn with green curry crisp thai basil curry coconut powder , palm sugar, kafir lime etc.

The Fry Counter has an equally delicious journey to offer.

Delicacies like Thod man khao phod (corn cake)- Deep fried corn cake served with cucumber salad, Pho pia phak (Vegetable Spring Rolls) – Crispy fried vegetable spring rolls served with sweet chilli sauce, Kiew thod (Crispy Wonton) -Deep fried minced vegetables wrapped wonton served with sweet chilli sauce seem divine flavours to indulge in.

Deep fried fish cake served with peanut cucumber sauce, Kra thong tong gai (Chicken Golden Baskets), Delicate Golden Baskets with filling of chicken and vegetables, Kra thong tong goong (Prawn Golden Baskets) etc. Make the journey truly appetizing.

There’s much more to the menu but I leave behind it as a journey to explore yourself. And all these appetizing flavors only at an affordable price of 1999 INR plus taxes.

Kudos to Chef Nikhil Rastogi and The Entire Team of Eros Hotel New Delhi who have so perfectly managed to bring in the vibes right in the heart of Delhi.

The festival would go on till 28th April and if you are a Thai food fanatic, it should never be given amiss.
